ChatTCP Terms of Service

Welcome to ChatTCP (hereinafter referred to as "the Service"). By using this service, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions (hereinafter referred to as "Terms"). If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

1. Service Description

ChatTCP is a network packet analysis tool that provides two service forms: online and offline versions:

Online Service: Supports users uploading PCAP files, providing protocol parsing, visual analysis, AI assistant interaction, case learning, and other functions, aiming to provide developers and network engineers with a convenient traffic analysis experience.

Offline Application: Provides locally installed desktop applications that support PCAP file analysis in offline environments, equipped with core protocol parsing and visual analysis capabilities.

Both service forms aim to provide developers and network engineers with a convenient traffic analysis experience, with specific functional features that may vary by version.

2. User Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have obtained consent from a legal guardian, to use this service. You should have the legal right and ability to use this service.

3. User Accounts and Login

Online Service: You can use Apple and GitHub authorization login methods to access this service. After logging in, we may obtain your email address for contact purposes (only for service-related matters).

Offline Application: You can use Apple and GitHub authorization login methods to sync subscription status and user information. After logging in, we may obtain your email address for subscription status synchronization and service-related matters.

You should properly safeguard your account information and be responsible for your usage behavior.

4. Acceptable Use

When using this service, you agree to:

Online Service:

  • Only upload PCAP files that you own or have the right to analyze;
  • Do not upload data containing illegal content, sensitive personal information, private data, passwords, keys, etc.;

Offline Application:

  • Only analyze PCAP files that you own or have the right to analyze;
  • Do not analyze data containing illegal content, sensitive personal information, private data, passwords, keys, etc.;

General Rules:

  • Do not use this service for illegal, offensive, fraudulent, or network security-threatening activities;
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

4.1. Offline Application Usage Rules

If you use the ChatTCP offline application, you must also comply with the following additional rules:

  • Only download and install the application from the Apple Store to ensure software security;
  • Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the application;
  • Do not use the application for commercial distribution or resale;
  • The offline application may not include all features of the online version, such as AI assistants, MCP services, etc.;
  • Data storage and processing in the offline application are performed on your local device, and we are not responsible for the security of local data.

5. Service Modifications and Termination

We reserve the right to update, suspend, or terminate this service (or part of its functions) at any time without prior notice.

We may update these service terms from time to time, and updated terms will be published on this page. Your continued use of the service indicates acceptance of the latest terms.

6. User Content

Online Service: The PCAP files and related content you upload are owned by you or the corresponding rights holders. We do not store your uploaded content for long periods (except for analysis purposes) and are not responsible for its security, confidentiality, or compliance.

Offline Application: The PCAP files and related content you analyze are owned by you or the corresponding rights holders. All data processing is performed on your local device, and we do not access, store, or process your data, nor are we responsible for its security, confidentiality, or compliance.

7. Third-Party Services

This service may use the following third-party services or technologies:

Online Service:

  • Apple / GitHub authorization login
  • Creem payment platform (for subscription and paid features)
  • AI features supported by third-party model services (such as OpenRouter)

Offline Application:

  • Apple / GitHub authorization login
  • Apple in-app purchases

We are not responsible for the service content, privacy policies, or behavior of the above third parties.

9. Disclaimer

This service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee the stability, accuracy, or suitability of the service.

  • Analysis results, AI assistant responses, and other content are for reference only;
  • We are not responsible for any direct or indirect losses arising from the use of this service;
  • We are not responsible for any problems caused by your uploaded data, usage methods, etc.

10. Refund Policy

If you have made a subscription or purchase through the Creem platform, you can contact Creem customer service or apply for a refund through their platform.

If you made an in-app purchase through Apple, you need to contact Apple customer service to apply for a refund.

11. MCP Usage Rules

Online Service: ChatTCP online version provides MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration features, allowing users to interact with AI assistants or external model contexts in specific scenarios. When using MCP features, you must comply with the following rules:

  1. Experimental Nature: MCP integration features may be in testing or limited release status, and feature stability, availability, and scope may be adjusted at any time. We do not make commitments regarding feature completeness.
  2. Permission Restrictions: You may only use MCP features within the scope explicitly supported by this service, and may be subject to restrictions on request frequency, call counts, file size, etc. (e.g., 10 requests/minute, or specific version limitations).
  3. Prohibition of Abuse: It is prohibited to use MCP interfaces for malicious calls, high-frequency attacks, bypassing restrictions, automated script attacks, data scraping, or other violations.
  4. Data Security: Context, prompts, and data content transmitted through MCP should be data you legally own or have the right to process. You should ensure its compliance and security, and we do not assume additional responsibility for this.
  5. No Data Storage Guarantee: MCP-related interaction content is usually not permanently saved, and we do not provide MCP data export, backup, or historical record query services.
  6. Liability Statement: We are not responsible for any problems arising from the use of MCP features, including but not limited to functional abnormalities, call failures, data misunderstandings, etc. MCP features are for auxiliary use only, and should not be relied upon for critical business decisions.

We reserve the right to adjust, restrict, or close MCP integration features at any time without prior notice.

Offline Application: The offline application does not provide MCP features or AI assistant features.
